My first full complete lap in my NC at Willow Springs International Raceway. This track is very intimidating but it is a blast to drive at the limit. I was able to put down a 1:31.08.

      I have seen many NA and NBs when they delete the power steering pump they go and depower the steering rack, is it necessary to do the same for NC?

    • @MitchelYardley
      @MitchelYardley Місяць тому

      Oh I understand the question now. So I came from an NA Miata and hated the power steering and did the de powered rack. On my NC, what made me get rid of the power steering was the fact the pump was already failed and I didn’t even realize it. I drove a few friends NC with the same wheel and tire size and it felt much easier. So I decided since my PS isn’t working properly might as well just go to manual steering fully. I really enjoy the steering feel ONCE I added the roll center correction tie rods. It brought the steering back to almost neutral (where it felt when my PS was installed but not fully functioning). Sorry for the lengthy response!

    They really need to get the eccentrics on these like AMT has for the C5, a nice octagon shape that can't rotate! Maybe a project for me in OnShape and SendCutSend. That said you can't shim the uppers to make fine tuning adjustments so... may not work for these? Lots of camber in there! Are your lower bushings OEM rubber ones? I know on the C5 Corvette you run giant Camber numbers like these on the OEM rubber since they deflect so much, but as soon as you go Delrin you can drop a ton.... unless you AX, then you stay huge in numbers haha.

    • @MitchelYardley

      I definitely think so. A wing mounted to body panels will loose it’s effectiveness as that downforce has to travel through the airfoil, wing stands, trunk/body panel, suspension, then tires. Where as my setup is airfoil, stands, suspension, then tires.

      Worksbell have always been higher end quick releases and hubs. They make great products. That was going to be my first go to but I saw this one released and figured I’d give it a shot for 2 main reasons. Price and the QR being splined rather than ball bearing (like the worksbell) but the worksbell one is I believe the highest quality ball bearing QR.
